Excell downloads showing up as blank files

 · Empty Date Cell shows as 1/0/, but want it blank. Hi there! I'm a novice, so bear with me. Numbered items below in green are working just fine, items in red are what I'm having issues with: L7 has formula =N7-M7. However, I want for cells in that column to be blank when N7 and/or M7 are empty. Then, when user enters the values for N7 and M7.  · When we had both excel 20installed on the same computer, we could open the excel files right away but not the files. Excel would open but gray screen. All we had to do was to minimize excel and it would pop right back up with the file we had just tried to . Unfortunately I tried to open one of the files and got a blank screen (light blue). When I tried to close Excel the pop up asked if I wanted to save my document. I can't figure out what I have done to make the document not show up on the screen but actually be open. Anyone with any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.
